Changing CMS, again
I first moved from TikiWiki to DotClear because all I wanted was a blog. Now, I’m switching to WordPress, hoping that all those comment spam problems will end. With barely anyone commenting on this blog, I still had to filter out the spam, and there was no way to perform batch actions on it. WordPress has a much larger community, which offers a vast anti-spam arsenal. Plus, the bundled themes don’t have any hard-coded strings in them. DotClear was a very good application, and solving the problem was probably possible, but switching to WP was simply easier. It even imported all my posts.
Now the only problem I have is that the generated HTML does not validate. Seems like there is an issue with the format of the imported comments. I might decide to solve this problem at some point. Until then, sorry W3C.
